The Three Investigators are very eager to solve mysteries and to help people. They have a compassion for people in need. Sometimes their eagerness and compassion results in illegal or at least questionable acts. I will try to list some of them here. This is only the beginning.

The Mystery of the Coughing Dragon - As an act of compassion Jupe, Pete and Bob did not report the robber Mr Shelby to the police, and I guess that is a criminal act, although I personally find it very merciful. It is true that Mr Shelby returned the stolen gold, but he did make a criminal action which should have been reported. I guess that the hole in the wall is still a mystery in Seaside.

The Mystery of the Flaming Footprints - Jupe is walking into a house without permission from the owner.

The Mystery of the Singing Serpent - Jupe, Pete and Bob break into an apartment through the window.
