All the 43 books in the Original series and seven of the Crimebusters are published in Sweden between 1965 and 1992. These have been published by B. Wahlströms Ungdomsböcker, which is a publishing house focusing on books for young people. The books for boys have green spines, and each book is given a number. It started with number one in the year of 1914.

The coverartists are in some cases the same as in America. Some of the covers seem to look almost the same as their American counterparts, but Ola Ericson is the artist. Obviously he has based his artwork on the originals. Tord Nygren, Anders Ferm and Jan Gissberg are the other Swedish artists. On many of the Swedish covers the feature of Mr Alfred Hitchcock is to be found. When the books came in new editions in the beginning of the 1990^th some of them got new covers by Miralles and Vicente.

 Seven of the stories were also published in the 1980^th by Hemmets Journal/Richters in the frames of a book-club called Disney´s book-club for youth. These editions got new covers by Christina Nauckhoff and Lopez Espi, and we also got a new translation of the Mystery of the Talking Skull.

The Mystery of the Dead Man´s Riddle came as number 43 in Sweden (22 in the U.S.A.). The reason is perhaps that it was hard to translate the riddles in an accurate way.
